You never have to hesitate at Does Your Mother Know, staff is always willing to jump in and help find something that will definitely catch your attention and always willing to go the extra mile in accommodating the most intriguing of curiosities.


Our store and staff foster a welcoming environment that doesn’t judge. We are a queer store after all based in the Castro birthplace of gay liberation and in the queer community we know there’s no room for judgment in how people live their lives. And especially what one does with their own bodies. It’s yours after all, why not have fun with it. Freedom to explore and express is a core belief we stick to.


Does Your Mother Know also believes in supporting our community that built us. We host many local queer artists and participate in neighborhood events. The Castro Art Walk being our most regular event we partake in. A monthly even where patrons visit and view art from our 6+ resident queer artist that we proudly host year round. If you see anything you must have, you’re in luck because each artist’s one of a kind, hand made pieces are up for sale!
